Cappadocia North Tour – Marvels of Turkey
Firstly we will start with one of the many surreal landscapes found in Cappadocia “Imagination Valley” (Devrent Valley) where your imagination will run wild. Next we call at Pashabagi known as Monks valley due to the Christain Hermits that chose to live in Hermit cells and churches in the three headed pinnacles symbolising the Holy Trinity, the Fairy Chimnies had many stages of formation and all these can be witnessed at Monks valley.
We will proceed to the pottery centre of Cappadocia Avanaos (Venessa) this picturesque Village is set on the banks of the Kizilirmik/Red River which derives it name from the red clay deposits, here you will have a chance to watch the potters at work using kick wheels, if your feeling artistic then why not give it a go yourself !
Lunch will be served in a Local Restaurant
After lunch we will head to Goreme home of the famous Open Air Museum. The world’s most important Byzantine Cave churches are located in these once remote Valleys where monks and nuns pursued monastic life from the 3rd century on.
The churches here have the best preserved Byzantine Cave paintings and Frescos from the Lonoclastic period to the end of the Selcuk rule. Icons with scenes from the Old Testament and the New Testament above portraits of Church Fathers and saints depict the structure of the Byzantine universe.
We will end the tour with two amazing Panoramic view points:
Esentepe: With a breathtaking view over Göreme, a complete view of Goreme valley and Goreme village: fairy chimneys, rock formations and Cave houses.
Uchisar Castle: One of the highest points of Cappadoica a very prominent Landmark with stunning views for miles around.

Today we will pick you up from your Hotel for the South Cappadocia tour.
Starting the day with a leisurely hike in the Red & Rose Valley, this walk will include astounding views of volcanic rock formations and Caves within the magical Valleys which are in the heart of Cappadocia, this tranquil walk is far from the mainstream tourist haunts. The walk will end in the Cavusin Cave Village with a Rock Castle and troglodyte dwellings which were occupied right up until the 20th century.
Lunch will be served in a traditional local restaurant
Next we make our way to the Underground City of kaymakli one of the many underground settlements in the region. Kaymakli Underground City is one of the largest and deepest which is approximately 40m deep and contains all the usual rooms found in such settlements such as (stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches, wineries etc.)
To finsh this interesting day off we will visit Pigeon Valley which has glorious views of Dovecotes, Old abandoned Cave homes and Old Greek houses of uchisar.
